Detroit, Michigan –Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee Jr. was suspended by the mayor for allegedly having an affair with a female police officer. This is the second time he has been accused of improper conduct since he became chief in 2010. Godbee has been placed on a 30-day suspension pending a full and thorough investigation. Assistant Chief Chester Logan will be the interim chief. Godbee is alleged to have had a sexual relationship with Angelica Robinson, an internal affairs officer. There are conflicting reports about how the affair ended. Robinson was reassigned to a different position and does not have use of her service weapon.
