San Francisco, CA — A motorcycle police officer was injured when he was struck by a car on Friday afternoon. The officer was responding to a call of a robbery with a gun in progress in the Richmond District. He was near the 1300 block of Fulton Street when the car hit him, causing him to lay the bike down. The officer was riding Code 3 (lights and sirens). The motorcycle officer was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated. His injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
